Time to Float was a TERPECA nominee with two nominations in 2025, missing out on the requisite six that were needed to become a finalist. However, I’ll be very surprised if that repeats in 2026, as word continues to spread about this game, and more enthusiasts make their way to Belfast.
Belfast
Timescape: Casino Heist (Belfast)
Timescape wasn’t the main focus of our trip to Belfast, but I was impressed with Casino Heist. Fun, engaging, fast paced, and with some pleasing puzzles, if you’re in Belfast and looking for something to do, you can’t really go wrong with this game.
Timescape: Spellbound (Belfast)
As far as magic rooms go, this one was fine. It didn’t feel like a carbon copy of the Harry Potter world, and had a unique set. I would imagine that kids would definitely enjoy this game, we certainly did. Although of the two games we played at Timescape, we probably preferred Casino Heist more.
Forbidden Quest: Zombie Outbreak 2.0 (Belfast)
This game isn’t of the same level as their two newer games, but if you’re looking for a more traditional (not full horror) escape room, then Zombie Outbreak 2.0 is a good shout. The set is decent, puzzles are fine, and it’s a good game that could start to get people hooked on escape rooms.
Forbidden Quest: The Collector (Belfast)
The fact that in writing this review I keep referring to Athens is testament to what Forbidden Quest has done here. This is an experience, the type of experience that is few and far between in the UK at the moment – only Time to Float and The Reading Witch would be the logical comparisons.
