Escapable: Outatime (Wakefield)

If you’re a fan of a certain 1985 film that features a DeLorean, a teen in a red gilet, and a doc, then look no further, you’ve found the room for you. Fun puzzles, a lovely set, and an ending that is one you’re sure to remember for a long time.

Escapable: Avast (Wakefield)

Our time in Avast was short, but enjoyable. This is probably the easiest of the games at Escapable but that would make it good for beginners. Even then, I think enthusiasts would still have a good time.

Enigma Rooms Wakefield: Escape from Wonderland (Wakefield)

Enigma Wakefield: Escape from Wonderland (Wakefield)

Escape from Wonderland is a fun game full of whimsy. Although not overly taxing, the puzzles were enjoyable and satisfying to solve. We were apprehensive about playing at Enigma as it’s part of a (small) chain, but those fears were not warranted and it felt more like an independent venue.

Escapable: Titanic (Wakefield)

Titanic is one of those games that I would recommend to families, larger groups, and those starting out with escape rooms. It wasn’t overly challenging, but it did have some cool moments. This is the type of game that is great for finding your feet with escape rooms.

Enigma Wakefield: Seance (Wakefield)

Enigma Wakefield: Seance (Wakefield)

I can see why people find Seance to be a scary experience. With a live-actor running around you, it certainly keeps you on edge. I’m not sure if it deserves the tag as being one of the scariest escape rooms in the UK, but I guess that’s all relative.

Enigma Rooms Wakefield: Murder Motel (Wakefield)

Enigma Rooms Wakefield: Murder Motel (Wakefield)

Murder Motel is unlikely to blow anyone away, but it’s a fun game, with decent puzzles and a surprise at the end. If you’re looking to get someone introduced into the world of escape rooms, and they don’t mind a macabre theme, then this isn’t a bad shout.
